Thai Basil Chicken


Thai Basil Chicken–the perfect weeknight dish that's bursting with flavor. Made with chicken thighs, oyster sauce, fish sauce, Thai basil and chilis, this easy dish and can be yours in 20-minutes!

– Chicken Thighs – Avocado Oil  – Shallot – Garlic – Thai Bird’s Eye Chili – Brown Sugar – Oyster Sauce – Light Soy Sauce – Dark Soy Sauce – Fish Sauce – Thai Holy Basil Leaves –Water


Thai Basil Chicken

In a small bowl, add brown sugar, oyster sauce, light + dark soy sauces, fish sauce, and water and whisk until brown sugar dissolves. Set aside.

1. Prepare Sauce

In a wok or skillet over medium-high heat, add avocado oil. Add shallots and garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes or until fragrant. Add chilis and stir to combine.

2. Sauté Aromatics

Add chicken and cook for 4 minutes or until chicken is cooked.

3. Add Chicken

Pour in sauce mixture and mix well, ensuring chicken is coated. Cook for 1 minute or until sauce is slightly reduced.

4. Add Sauce

Turn off flame and add basil. Stir until leaves are wilted.

5. Add Thai Basil

Serve with steamed  rice and enjoy!
