Boil onions and cook for 2 minutes, then cool. Using a pairing knife, remove roots, ends and peel.

1. Peel Onions

Add olive oil, butter, onions and cook for 3 minutes or until bottoms are caramelized then flip and repeat, and add thyme.

2. Cook Onions

Add balsamic vinegar, sugar, water and kosher salt. Cover the pan and leave for 2 minutes. Cook until liquid has slightly reduced.

3. Add Ingredients

Serve with roasted turkey, chicken or with your main dish!
