Pork Lumpia Shanghai is a popular Filipino version of spring rolls filled with vegetables and ground pork. Lumpia are simple to make, perfect for gatherings, lunch, dinner or make-ahead meal!

–Ground pork –Eggs –Carrots, minced –Celery, minced –Yellow Onion, minced –Garlic, minced –Freshly Cracked Pepper –Kosher salt and Pepper –Lumpia wrappers

Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix well, ensuring vegetables are well incorporated into ground meat.  Place in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow flavors to marry.

Step 1:

Add 2 tablespoons of filling to lumpia wrapper and fold. Seal edges with water. Keep folded lumpia under a towel to keep from drying out. 

Step 2:

Fry lumpia for 4-5 minutes or under golden brown  on all sides.

Step 3:

Enjoy with homemade sweet chili sauce, the perfect accompaniment for lumpia. 

Step 4:

Leftover, uncooked lumpia shanghai can be stored in the freezer for 4-6 months. When ready to cook, simply toss into the fryer, no thawing necessary!
