Garlic and mushroom skillet chicken with a layer of creamy decadence. This skillet chicken recipe makes for the perfect weeknight dinner. The best part: perfectly crispy skin.
- Chicken thighs
- Avocado Oil
- Cremini Mushrooms
- Garlic Powder
- Fresh Thyme
- Chicken Broth
- Heavy Cream
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
Clean and pat dry chicken thighs. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and pepper.
Carefully add chicken thighs, skin side down. Flip and cook for another 15 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
Once cooked, remove from skillet and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and add garlic cloves. Cook garlic, stirring often until fragrant.
Add mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add chicken broth, cream and garlic powder to the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 mins, until liquid has reduced.
Enjoy over steamed rice, roasted potatoes or roasted cauliflower.
